Panophthalmitis with Purulent Hypopyon
After cataract extraction with posterior-chamber lens implantation the whole eye is infected. Intense mixed injection and chemosis of the conjunctiva and sclera, hazy cornea and anterior chamber with horizontal deposit of inflammatory cells, posterior synechiae which allow only mid-dilation of the pupil.
