Molluscum Contagiosum

Molluscum Contagiosum
Discrete flesh-colored elevated lesions of diameter ranging from 1-5mm with umbilicated center. Caused by pox virus. Treatment options include incision and currettage, excision(for lid margin lesions), topical treatment with trichloroacetic acid, isotretinoin, salicylic acid, cryotherapy, laser therapy. Eyelid molluscum may be the initial manifestation of acquired immunodeficiency syndrome, in which case, they are larger and more aggressive.
