Intermediate Uveitis, Snowballs
Fluffy clumps of cells (snowballs) in front of the retina, often as strings (string of pearls) are found in the peripheral vitreous in chronic iridocyclitis, pars planitis, sarcoidosis, Lyme disease, Multiple sclerosis. Ophthalmopathologically one finds a retinal vasculitis. The commonly used terminology is questionable.
