Homonymous Hemianopia, Parietal Lobe

Homonymous Hemianopia, Parietal Lobe
This gray-scale printout of an automated visual field shows an incomplete left homonymous hemianopia that is more extensive and more dense in the lower quadrants. Hemianopias that are denser below and only moderately incongruous suggest a site of pathology in the parietal lobe. In the present case, the enlarged blind spot in the right eye is indicative of papilledema.
