Atlas of Ophthalmology

A 64years old gentleman presented to us with sudden deterioration in vision in his LE. His BCVA was 6/18P. On examination he was found to have RPE Rip which was spontaneous in origin. OCT and FFA were done which also confirmed the diagnosis. We followed up the patient for next six months and his BCVA remained stable through this period without any complications. RPE rips are known to be common with Anti-VEGF injections and with CNVM but spontaneous RPE rips are a rare occurrence.
