70 years of age, female; OD/OS secondary open angel glaucoma, cortical cataract.
In January 2010 a regular cataract surgery was performed without any complication. Two months later there was a decrease in visual acuity due to a cystoid macular oedema.
Under topical steroids and systemic carboanhydrase inhibitors the cystoid macular oedeme resolved. The final visual acuity was 1.0 (20/20).
Time Course of Visual acuity:
02/2010: 0.9;
03/2010: 0.8;
06/2010: 0.5;
08/2010: 0.9.
