Congenital combined eyelid imbrication and floppy eyelid Syndrome in new born

眼睑 -> 先天反常现象
A full- term newborn Cameroonian male child, after a normal un-assisted vaginal delivery, was examined in labour room for treatment of eye discharge and abnormal overlapping and everted upper eyelid that was seen immediately after delivery. The mother had regular ante- natal care and smooth pregnancy and she had neither history of chronic systemic illnesses nor drug intake during pregnancy. Ocular examination showed bilateral and symmetric elongated and everted upper eyelids overlapping the lower lid margins,exposed tarsal conjunctiva and it was increasing on crying. Tarsal conjunctiva of both upper eyelids showed hyperemia,discharge and chemosis. Both corneas were clear and showed no fluorescein staining. The anterior and posterior segments were normal. The both tarsal conjunctiva were reposited back and eyelids everted and bandage given after instilling antibiotic ointment and scheduled for daily follow up. After 1 week the eyelids were found to be in the normal position and there was no spontaneous eversion of the upper eyelids.
