Cerebral infarctions, pituitary adenoma and primary open angle glaucoma (fundus photography, FDT, HRT, MRI, DTI)

Brain and Optical Pathway
Male, 69 years, atrial fibrillation, cerebral infarction 8 months ago, diagnosis of a pituitary adenoma 8 months ago, smoker. Eye diagnosis: OD/OS advanced glaucomatous optic atrophy on primary open angle glaucoma, cortical and nuclear cataract. Best corrected visual acuity: OD 1.0 and OS 1.0; IOP: OD 13 mmHg and OS 13 mmHg, Assessment: The severe glaucomatous optic atrophy conceals a probable local impairment of the visual field by the partial median infarction. The incidental finding of a pituitary gland adenoma without compression of the optic chiasm is suggested not to affect the visual pathway.
