Squamous Cell Carcinoma of the Conjunctiva

Squamous Cell Carcinoma of the Conjunctiva
This tumor often develops from precancerous lesions (dysplasia, carcinoma in situ, actinic keratosis). It is usually located at the limbus, is well defined, elevated and looks white. The surrounding nourishing vessels are engorged. The tumor grows slowly and rarely metastasizes.
