Nerve-Fiber Defect of the Retina in Chronic Open-Angle Glaucoma
A red-free fundus photo shows arcuate changes that follow the superior and inferior vascular arcade. They are caused by loss of nerve fibers which results in a diminished light reflex. These changes correspond to arcuate (Bjerrum) scotomas in the visual field.
