Optic Nerve Glioma
This is a benign astrocytic neoplasm presenting in childhood with a mean age of 8 years. They may involve the optic nerve and/or the chiasm, with slowly progressive visual loss. With third ventrical or midbrain invasion, mortality may be as high as 50%. The left eye is proptotic.
