Silicone Oil, Emulsification (Hyperoleum)
Dispersed, tiny silicone droplets may enter the anterior chamber and accumulate in the upper part of the anterior chamber because of their low specific weight. Basal iridectomy (Ando) was performed during surgery to provide access of aqueus to the anterior chamber in case the floating silicone bubble in the vitreus should shut off the superior access to the anterior chamber.
