Homonymous Hemianopia; Geniculate
Wedge-shaped defects straddle the horizontal meridian in the temporal field of the left eye and the nasal field of the right eye. The apex of each defect abuts on the vertical meridian. This unusual variant of a homonymous hemianopia, termed a horizontal sectoranopia, localizes to the lateral geniculate nucleus in the thalamus.
