Endogenous Endophthalmitis, (Candida Albicans)
Intravenous drug users or patients with reduced immunologic resistance can develop a systemic spread of the fungus candida albicans. Here the pupil shows a yellow-white reflex, a sign of infiltration of the vitreous. The anterior segment shows signs of inflammation (Injection of the conjunctiva and posterior synechiae).
