Iridocorneal Endothelial Syndrome (ICE), Variant Chandler, Cogan-Reese Syndrome
Proliferation of corneal endothelial cells on the surface of the iris creates a network of basal lamina with multiple openings through which the underlying tissue bulges. These tiny round protuberances were originally thought to be nevi. Secondary glaucoma develops which does not respond to therapy. (literature: Yanoff and Daicker)
