Iridocorneal Endothelial (ICE) Syndrome, advanced
ICE is a syndrome which is unilateral, progressive, non-familial with female predominance and is characterized by corneal decompensation, iris arophy and glaucoma. The corneal endothelial cells migrate across the trabecular meshwork and onto the surface of the iris inducing anterior synechiae, and later ectropium uveae ( at 9 o'clock)and polycoria can develop. The upper one to left (11 o'clock) is a surgical iridectomy, not to be confused by the right pathological one with iris filaments. Progressive iris atrophy overlaps here with Chandler's disease.
