Hemifacial Spasm

Hemifacial Spasm
In contrast to blepharospasm, in this condition the facial spasms occur on one side of the face, in the distribution of the seventh cranial nerve. In most cases it results from compression of the seventh nerve exit root by an abnormal blood vessel.
