Proliferative Diabetic Retinopathy, Vitreous Hemorrhage (#2) Ultrasound B
The vitreous is detached peripherally but adherent to the retina posteriorly probably due to proliferations. The hyper-reflectivity is due to vitreous hemorrhage, probably with some proliferations since it is still adherent to the retina. It is important to perform B mode ultrasonography to rule out retinal detachment and unsuspected choroidal tumors.
